How it works
Certificates anyone can check
Training certificates issued by TAMOE's platforms can be verified in seconds, without signing up and from any device. Here is how.
Every PDF is electronically signed
When the holder downloads their certificate from the platform, the PDF is electronically signed at that moment with TAMOE's certificate (PAdES advanced signature). The signature covers the whole document: change a single letter and it is no longer valid. TAMOE does not store PDFs; every download is an authentic copy and the register records when it was issued.
Every certificate has a verification code
When it is issued, the certificate receives a unique code (CSV) printed next to a QR code. TAMOE's central register records which platform issued it, on what date, how many copies have been issued and whether it has been revoked. It does not store the holder's name or the content of the certificate.
Verify the PDF
Upload the file on the verification page. We check that the signature is valid and comes from TAMOE, that the document has not been modified since it was signed and, if it contains the code, whether it is still valid. This is the complete check: authenticity and integrity of the content.
Look up the code
Enter the code or scan the QR to find out whether it exists, who issued it, when, and whether it is still valid. The code does not vouch for the document's content: for that, verify the PDF.
What each result means
- Authentic certificate
- The signature is valid, the document is intact and its code is recorded as valid in the register (or the code you looked up exists and is valid).
- Document signed by TAMOE
- The signature is valid and the document is intact, but it contains no verification code, so its validity cannot be checked.
- Certificate revoked
- The code was cancelled, usually because of a correction with a new one issued. It must not be accepted.
- Not found
- The code does not exist in the register. Check it is typed correctly; if the problem persists, the document was not issued through this service.
- Invalid signature
- The PDF is not signed by TAMOE or was modified after signing.
Privacy
The central register stores no personal data about holders: looking up a code only shows the issuing platform, the date and the status. IP addresses are stored pseudonymised, uploaded PDFs are processed in memory without being kept, and lookups per address are limited.
About the electronic signature
PDF copies carry an advanced electronic signature (PAdES) based on a qualified certificate, with the certification chain embedded and, normally, a qualified timestamp and revocation evidence (LT level), so they can be validated long-term even after the signing certificate has expired. If no timestamping authority responds at download time, the copy is signed without a timestamp (B level) and viewers may show a warning once the certificate expires; this service recognises those copies too.
